Slow Learner

Today's muse: Daily Writing Practice

The topic for this week's Four Line Friday Prose: slow learner.

Slow Learner

Sunshine ripped through the window, bored through the thin shield of eyelid. The cacophony of noise in my head played a steady rhythm, coaxed my stomach upwards with promises of freedom from my body. That’s the last time, I vowed—yet again—that I would indulge in the glorious nectar of the fermented grape.

Yeah right, I snorted.

I am laughing to myself, because it is late, and I can barely spell, much less type. It is the end of GNO (girls night out) which did not end well and I am beyond the tippsy that makes sense, or can spell. Tomorrow I will live your post, which makes sense to me now, but tomorrow I fear, will mean something alltogether different.

@Wine and Words: Hee hee. Somehow, I knew that would be your comment. That can't possibly be your blog name for nothing. Hope you are feeling better by now. If nothing else, 'hair of the dog' can do wonders. Cheers!

Jeeze Monica. I just sat down to catch up on everyone's posts, saw yours, read it...and clicked to comment. Imagine my surprise when there was already a comment, from myself no less, and I having no recollection of leaving it! I guess I really did tie one on. Well, good thing Girls Night Out is only once a week.

@Wine and Words: I'm going to start hanging out with you. Clearly, your life is far more fun than mine.
