Like Fire

Today's muse: Succinctly Yours by Grandma's Goulash

The rules: Using the picture and/or word (the word is optional), write a story under 140 characters OR 140 words.

Today's word: Pugnacious. Though I didn't use the word, it's implied.

Like Fire

Love once burned white hot, their passion a Dali canvas. A decade later, it burns with fury, and their voices scream with the sirens.

Love turned to frustration, the fire remained. Very interesting, the way you implied the word pugnacious.

So who's that guy trying to dampen their passion?

At least it hasn't fizzled from indifference. This is very well written.

Thanks, Larry. I'll swing by and read yours soon.

Seasons: Fire isn't always good. Sometimes it burns.

Thanks, Anthonynorth.

glnroz: yeah. me neither. but sometimes it goes with the territory. or so i'm told.

Pat: I think they hope he'll put out the anger.

Grandma: Well said. Indifference is much worse.

Thanks, storytreasury!

Thanks, LRC. It was the first thing I thought of.

I loved your entry. It was almost poetic and certainly full of fire (and water to quench it).

Thanks so much for the visits. Take care and God bless.

Nice, Monica ~~ Sirens and fire hoses, too hot.
I like Dali. Of the Surrealist artists Peter Max is my favorite contemporary.
