Wrongfully Accused

For the theft of four oatmeal cookies
Charlie sits alone with his thoughts
Sentenced by Mom to sit in the corner
While the dog grins and licks his chops

I love the playfulness of this poem. The title is so serious, but the surface of the poem is light; even though it's light, it's describing a much deeper, serious issue, being "wrongfully accused."
