Wheels in Motion

Today's muse: Wood and Pixels Narratives

* * *

Wheels in Motion

The summer of ’62 is coming to a close. Billy Peterson has been working hard to save enough money to buy his dream car, but with the End-of-Summer Blowout quickly approaching, and no hopes of finding a car, the last hurrah seems to be fizzling out.

Things are looking up, though, as the Wheels of Fate are set in motion.

I was born in the summer of '62...and when I turned 16 I got my first car....not a dream car, no sir! My grandpa's puke green 1962 Chevy Impala, nicknamed "Bed Springs".

Wine & Words: Hmmm, let me guess. It wasn't nicknamed Bed Springs for the reason I'm thinking.

By the way the "bedsprings" comment was funny!

glnroz: (snicker) Isn't that the point? And btw, I wanted to comment on your comment re Packing Up. You said you feared seeing your name in the chant. You should. My first stupid was also a Glenn-with-2-enns.

I won't hold it against you. ;O)

Geez, now I'm worried that you're all going to be disappointed. It's just a teen romance inspired by some pictures taken by Dan Felstead. Old cars and teen romance just seem to go hand in hand.
