Reality Check

Today's muse: Three Word Wednesday

Today's words: bubble, lumber, wreck

Reality Check

The whole thing is a wreck, a fucking sham.

Once filled to bursting, I now lumber along, going through the motions, acting out my part. It is just a matter of time before the hollow façade bounces across a spike strip and collapses like a delicate soap bubble.

Reality will ooze like black grease, and I will smear it over my skin to camouflage. I will hide.

And he won’t find me.

Hehe, if I take "he" as whatever force out there tries to deprive me of my sleep and sanity, this has sounded like a great idea at least six times in the past month xP

Ms. Manning, you are a master at taking a minimal color prompt and paint another masterpiece..:)

@Charley R: I can relate. Having chronic insomnia, I have participated in a few sleep studies, testing new sleeping pills. Only one worked well (it was fabulous!). But, sadly, that pharmaceutical company merged with another and the pill was shelved. *sigh* Back to sleepless nights.

@glnroz: You're post is poetic! Thank you for that.
