Today's muse: The One Minute Writer

Summit

They all said the trek would be worth it; a journey to liberate her soul. There was no question the view was spectacular. She was sure she could touch the clouds. Emerald carpet sprawled beneath a cobalt sea. Serenity embraced her, washed away the burden she shouldered. Why, then, did she still want to jump?

Beautiful! Short, sweet and very very effective :)

Because to survey is only the first step to answers. It can be that the big picture shows every pothole and we can become overwhelmed with the holes in the whole. Before we jump, we blink, put a new lense on the camera, climb down from the mountain and start filling the cracks. One at a time. It is that simple, and just that hard.

@Spook: Thanks, sweetie!

@W&W: I seem to be hitting every pothole lately, no matter what detour I take. Your last line said it all. It IS that hard. Thanks for the support!

You and me both. Support is the shovel we loan each other back and forth.

@W&W: Thanks for that! You have no idea how much that means. Big kisses back MWAH!

@glnroz: I'm in a dark place right now and it's reflected in my writing. Bear with me. It'll pass. It usually does.

To be able to see the beauty and still feel like jumping makes it even more difficult sometimes. A beautifully written and poignant piece that from the comments is reflecting your life at the moment :o( as you said, it'll pass... I hope it does pass for you very soon Monica, sending you lots of hugs x
